Creative Drawing Mornings
If you think of yourself as more of a "left-brain" person, this is a welcoming way back into play and intuition. Students practice low-stakes mixed media exercises that invite unexpected, often delightful results. It's a fun way to unwind, relieve stress, and reconnect with your hands, whether you want to draw more but feel rusty or you just want to create for the joy of it, no outcome required.
Grounded in foundational art and design elements like line, shape, and composition, projects may include collage, mark-making, zine-making, miniature sculpture, and other hands-on explorations. Expect a warm, communal atmosphere — students share work, try drawing games together, and build on each other's ideas.
With an emphasis on process over perfection, you'll leave each week with a stack of your own visual experiments and new ways of seeing and generating ideas — approaches you can carry into your daily practice. The class is an excellent introduction to the creative process for students with no prior art experience, while offering established artists and other creative people a chance to break out of familiar patterns, experiment freely, and find new directions.
Projects and prompts vary from one course session to the next, so returning students can continue exploring new materials, exercises, and ideas.
